WA Labor Intelligence publishes wage estimates, WARN filings, and household wealth data for Washington, built from official public sources.
Data sources
- Wages — U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, Occupational Employment and Wage Statistics (OEWS), May 2025 estimates for Washington State, its metropolitan areas, and nonmetropolitan areas. Official tables.
- WARN notices — Washington State Employment Security Department WARN database (layoff and closure filings under state and federal WARN requirements), with filing history back to 2004. Official guidance.
- Household net worth — U.S. Census Bureau Survey of Income and Program Participation (SIPP) public-use microdata; Washington and national percentiles computed by us for wealth measured December 2024. Official Census brief.
Methodology notes
OEWS publishes wage estimates by metropolitan and nonmetropolitan area rather than by county. County pages on this site display the estimate for the OEWS area that contains the county, and each page states which area its figures come from. For example, King County figures reflect the Seattle-Tacoma-Bellevue metro area.
A wage marked with a "+" is top-coded: BLS publishes $239,200 rather than the real figure when a series reaches that cap, so the true value is at least the amount shown. BLS does still publish uncapped figures above $239,200 for some occupations and areas — the 2025 release includes 144 such medians, ranging up to about $663,000 — and those appear without a "+" because they are measured values rather than caps. Suppressed estimates (published by BLS as "*") are shown as N/A.

- SIPP wealth data: refreshed when Census publishes a new annual public-use file.
- Notices filed for "various locations in Washington" are included in statewide totals but do not appear on county pages.
